Training for psychotherapists

In order to provide systematic and comprehensive support to the persons who survived human trafficking, ASTRA organized a training for psychotherapists who did not have the opportunity to learn about specific characteristics of work with the victims of human trafficking. The training was held in Belgrade on October 21-22, 2017 and gathered 15 psychotherapists from different towns in Serbia. Through lectures, presentations, case studies and practical exercises, the participants learned more about the problem of human trafficking and traumatic experience caused by exploitation in the human trafficking chain. Also, members of ASTRA SOS Hotline team, a lawyer and a psychological court expert shared their experiences of providing assistance to victims of trafficking, representing them in court and presenting the findings of psychiatric examination in court.
